Springwatch highlighted a bug survey quite eaasy to do and takes 15 minutes and can be done in your back yard or garden but provides good information. Two types of survey one counting types of insects in 15 minutes in three enviroments or try to fing 6 easily ID bugs to see covergage. IE Green Shield bugs are marching north quite literally. In Bury I see lots of them sdo they must have expanded further north. Link
